Network Alliance was presented the 2007 Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) "Hottest Bootstrap" Award in recognition of its creative and extraordinary growth without outside funding. Network Alliance was among numerous nominees and five finalists in the category. Don Britton, CEO of Network Alliance, accepted the award at the home of NVTC president Bobbie Kilberg in front of five hundred of the Metro D.C. area's leading technology professionals.
John Hurley of DLA Piper, the event emcee and a member of the Hot Ticket Awards selection committee, announced that, "Don represents the true entrepreneur. He sacrificed by renting his apartment and slept in his car to help make his company what it is today." Britton accepted the award expressing appreciation for being recognized as an award recipient this year, as well as a finalist last year.
Kevin Antler of KnowledgeBank, Inc., a Network Alliance client who attended the Awards event, knows how difficult it is to grow a business by relying on your own resources. "KnowledgeBank is also a bootstrap company. There are often times when accepting outside funding can make growing your business easier. We congratulate Don and Network Alliance for managing its own growth and doing what is best for the company and its clients."
